Hensel Remote

The Hensel WiFi Remote App is available for macOS, iOS, and Android, enabling control of all functions on Hensel flash units equipped with the necessary capabilities. Settings can be saved and recalled at any time. In addition to flash output - which can be displayed in either relative f-stops or watt-seconds - the modeling light, synchronization mode and ready indicators can also be controlled remotely.

Individual or collective control

When controlling multiple units, their output can be adjusted either individually or collectively - the latter allowing for quick adjustments to the overall exposure without altering the light distribution. Flash synchronization is achieved via Hensel’s proven Strobe Wizard Plus radio system, a sync cable or a built-in photocell.

Direct control of up to 12 flash units

Thanks to a specialized protocol and advanced Wi-Fi modules, the Hensel app allows for the direct control of up to 12 flash units without the need for a router. Ideal for larger studios is the ability to configure 10 independent teams, each comprising 12 individual units. Additionally, individual flashes can be combined into groups and controlled collectively - perfect for setups such as large softboxes or background lighting.

Displaying flash durations

Another special feature of the Hensel app is the ability to view the flash durations of the controlled flash units. This allows the power output to be selected in a way that ensures fast movements are reliably captured.

Integrating setup photos

To make it easier to locate and identify saved settings, photos of the setup taken with the smartphone or tablet being used can be stored alongside the corresponding device settings.

All current Hensel Expert D flash units come equipped with built-in Wi-Fi functionality. Older Expert D models (pre 2017) can be retrofitted, further demonstrating the future-proof nature of the Hensel system.
